Terms & Conditions

Last updated 13 October 2026

Lex Library is operated by Alie Bundu Conteh ("we", "us"). When you use Lex Library you are contracting with Alie Bundu Conteh. By creating an account or continuing to use the service, you agree to these terms.

The service

Lex Library offers law students a curated library of law books with plain-language explanations, links to free public-domain texts, an AI research assistant, and — for paying members — Lex Library Premium, a study toolkit (essay plan builder, case briefs, reading lists and a revision tracker).

Our intellectual property

Alie Bundu Conteh owns Lex Library — its software, summaries, explanations, design and branding. We give you a limited, personal, non-transferable right to use it within your plan. Public-domain books we link to belong to no one, and other books remain the property of their authors and publishers.

Payments and subscriptions

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, renewal and cancellation are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms.

Lex Library Premium is a monthly subscription that renews automatically until you cancel. If you cancel, you keep Premium until the end of the month you have paid for. Prices are shown on our pricing page. See our refund policy.

Availability

We work hard to keep Lex Library running, but we do not guarantee it will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free. It is provided "as is", without implied warranties, to the fullest extent the law allows.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, do not pay, or create a security or fraud risk. You can stop using Lex Library at any time. When your account ends, your saved work will be deleted within a reasonable time.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (such as lost marks, data or opportunities), and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury where the law does not allow it.

General

These terms are governed by the laws of Sierra Leone, and its courts handle any disputes. We are not responsible for delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control. We may update these terms; continuing to use Lex Library after a change means you accept it.
